However, he dreamed only of escaping as soon as possible, going to Milan, where one could make a career, where fame and glory, wealth and beautiful women awaited him. Women and cigars, a constant in his life. Sensitive and cynical, extroverted and anguished (his sudden and boisterous cheerfulness, often vulgar, was followed by melancholy and restlessness, gloom), an imaginative but inconsistent worker, willing to love and suffer with shameless passion, almost always beyond the rules, like his female characters, yet a shameless liar, braggart, and unfaithful. This was Giacomo Puccini." Excerpt from “Puccini and his women” by Augusto Benemeglio
An Oriental and spicy fragrance whose notes apostrophize the character of the Maestro.
The Orchid: sensual and persuasive; Rum and Patchouli to highlight his masculine “lady-killer” demeanor.
The spices highlight his burlesque and mischievous character; Tobacco and honey to underline his true whim: Women and Cigars.
